Aging Well:
Living with Vitality in Our Older Years
The 8th Annual COA Program on aging well continues to explore new attitudes and ideas for maintaining a strong sense of vitality in our older years, now that many are living substantially longer than people did in generations past.
Ben Green, a psychiatrist and author of a book on aging wisely, will provide a framework for examining our present situation, and help identify opportunities to adjust our thinking about what makes life meaningful.
Discussion Questions include:
- Do you feel that you are still basically the same person as you were before?
- Are there situations that make you feel your life is out of control?
- Are there things that you just can’t do anymore?
- Compared to when you were in midlife, do you feel as connected to people now as you did then; what kinds of connections now bring you the greatest satisfaction?
- What are your thoughts about the remaining time left?
Please join us on Wednesday, August 16 at 3 p.m. in Town Hall for what’s sure to be a lively, engaging presentation and discussion!
